A Fresh Look for the Kitchen: New Countertops and Backsplash

A kitchen update doesn’t always require starting from scratch. Sometimes, changing the surfaces that tie the room together can make a noticeable difference. For this project, Tremor Construction LLC installed new countertops and a tile backsplash, giving the kitchen a brighter, more coordinated appearance.

Preparing for the Update

The project photos show the work taking shape—from exposed wall areas and removed countertops to newly installed surfaces. During preparation, the upper cabinets were covered with protective plastic while the work areas were opened up for the renovation.

Preparation stage: covered upper cabinets, removed countertops, and exposed wall areas.

Light Surfaces, a Coordinated Look

The new countertops feature a light finish with subtle veining, creating a clean contrast against the dark lower cabinets. Extending around the kitchen and across the peninsula, they bring a consistent look to the space while complementing the lighter upper cabinetry.

For the backsplash, white rectangular tiles in a staggered pattern add texture without overwhelming the room. The tile follows the countertop along the walls and beneath the cabinets, connecting the different sections of the kitchen visually. Together, the countertops and backsplash give the space a fresh look that works with its existing character.

A Focused Kitchen Refresh

This project highlights how a focused renovation can refresh a kitchen while keeping its familiar layout. Thoughtfully paired colors and finishes can make the room feel more cohesive, whether you’re updating a single feature or planning a larger remodel.

At Tremor Construction LLC, we help homeowners bring their kitchen renovation ideas to life. If you’re considering new countertops, a backsplash, or a broader kitchen update, we’d be happy to discuss your project.
